How to restore BUSY backup?

To a restored of data you can follow these 
Step 1 : Open the BUSY on your computer.
Step 2 :In the BUSY software, look for the option to Restore data.This is usually found in the Company menu often labeled as Restore Data .
Step 3 : In the Restore data window, you have two options
:Option 1: Copy and Paste the Path (Folder Location) If you know the exact path to the folder where your backup files are stored, simply copy the path.

Is it possible to restore deleted folders from the data directory in case of an accidental deletion?

No, it is not possible to restore deleted folders from the data directory in BUSY Accounting software once they have been deleted. However, if a backup was taken before deletion, the data can be restored from the backup.
To restore backup follow the steps mentioned bellow:
Step 1: After opening BUSY go to restore data option
Step 2: Click on file symbol and select the folder where backup files are present
Step 3: Now click ok and then yes in window for data restoration.

How can I retrieve old data from another system to use in the new system?

To retrieve your old data from another system to run in the new system, you need to transfer that data files from old system to new system and if that is backup files, then you can restore it by using these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY on new system and click on Restore Data option.
Step 2: Select that folder in which the backup files are kept and press Ok to proceed.
Step 3: After restore data successfully you can open that company.

I need to take a backup of my BUSY data. How do I do this?

Here are the steps for taking BUSY data backup manually :
Step 1: Open BUSY software
Step 2: Then go to company menu
Step 3: Then click on Backup data option
Step 4: Then select company and mention username and password if any
Step 5: Then specify path for backup data
Step 6: Then select All financial year then click on ok button
Step 7: Then it start the process for backup and after completing it, a confirmation message will appear

While taking backup from BUSY showing RTE 5. How do i resolve this?

If showing RTE 5 while taking backup from BUSY, you need to follow these troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Open your company then go to housekeeping menu and run reindex database process.
Step 2: If same issue persists then you need to go BUSYwin folder in which drive where BUSY installed. Under the BUSYwin folder there will be a csbackup folder.
Step 3: Right click on csbackup folder the select properties and select security.
Step 4: Give everyone rights to that folder and then check.

How can I restore data in BUSY if the window is upgraded?

To restore data in BUSY Accounting Software, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY then click on Restore Data under the Company menu.
Step 2: Select the folder path in which backup files are stored.
Step 3: Press Ok to proceed and if the same company already exists then it asks for overwrite it. You can select yes or no as required.
Note: If you have a comp folder then you have to set the data path in the data directory.
