If the backup process in BUSY gets stuck, you can try taking a backup of your
data by following below steps:
Step 1: If it is access database open BUSY click on set data directory option and path will be visible to you so go to that path and copy it and paste in another drive/folder for a backup
Step 2: If it is sql database try to take backup through BUSYagent utility
Some of my old purchase records are not visible anymore. What should I do to access them?
If you are not able to see purchase voucher in BUSY which was added recently,follow these steps
Step 1 Search in list of purchase vouchers with same voucher number
Step 2 Query on transactions and enter any search string field entered in purchase voucher
Step 3 In display.go to check list and check audit trail,if using,find userwise user activity
Step 4 Check if it maybe deleted.
Step 4 Or you can check in backup taken before changes and restore the same.
How do I restore a backup and check for any errors or corruption in the data?
To restore a backup data in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY then click on Restore Data under the Company menu.
Step 2: Select the folder path in which backup files are stored.
Step 3: Press Ok to proceed and if same company is already exist then it ask for overwrite it. You can select yes or no as required.
If any corruption in your database then you will get errors while working in it.
How do I send or keep a copy of my company data?
To save a company's data and send it to another person follow below steps:
Step 1: Go to company menu then select backup data option.
Step 2: Then select the company whose data you want to save.
Step 3: Then specify the path for backup then cilck on ok button.
Step 4: Now you can copy that folder to some external drive or pendrive as backup.
Step 5: For sending the data you can use the we transfer web page.

Step 1: Open BUSYand select Backup Dataoption from Company tab.
Step 2: choose the company that you want to backup.
Step 3: Enter your username and password if required and select the location where you want to save your backup file.
Step 4: Select the financial year that you want to backup, either All F.Y. or Selected F.Y. and click on the OK button to start the backup process.
How to take backup of current company?
To take backup of current company fro BUSY, you need to follow these steps :
Step 1: Open BUSY application then click on backup data under the company menu.
Step 2: Select the company for which you want to take backup and enter the username and password.(If required)
Step 3: Specify the path for backup and select either all financial year or one financial year.
Step 4: Press ok to start the process and check after complete it.
Can you give me steps to restore a backup of a previous financial year without any errors?
To restore a backup of a previous financial year in BUSY, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open BUSY then click on Restore Data tab under the Company menu.
Step 2: Choose that folder path in which the backup files are kept then press Ok to proceed.
Step 3: If the same company is already exist the it will ask whether you want to overwrite it or not, so you can select as per the requirements.
Is there any way to recover the old items that have been deleted in the new company?
If you have backup in which items has not been deleted you can restore that backup else there is no way to keep the old items that have been deleted in the new company in BUSY.
To restore backup, you need to follow these steps :
Step 1: Open BUSY application then go to company menu and select restore data option
Step 2 : Select the backup file and click on OK button with overwrite option as NO.
Why are the previous bills not showing up even though I have taken a backup?
