How to Configure User-Definable Access Rights in BUSY
Super User
Step 1: Create a Super User
Click User > Create User from the top-left menu.
Step 2: Enter Super User Details
Enter the Username, Password, and Recheck Password. Enable Maintain Audit Trail and Maintain Activity Log if you want to track user activities.
You can also enable Bind User With Hard Disc to restrict the Super User to a specific system. If multiple price categories are used, select the required price category.
Step 3: Save the Super User
Save the user. The Super User will have complete access to BUSY.
Sub Users
Step 1: Open the Create User Window
Go to User > Create User again and enter the Username, Password, and Recheck Password for the new user.
Enable the required options in the Create User window based on the access you want to provide.
Step 2: Copy Rights from an Existing User, If Required
If the new user needs the same permissions as an existing user, enable Read Rights and select the user whose access rights you want to copy.
The selected user's access rights will be applied to the new user automatically.
Step 3: Configure Transaction Controls
Go to Transaction Controls and enable the transaction-related rights you want to provide to the user.
These settings define which transaction activities the user can access or perform.
Step 4: Configure General Controls
Under General Controls, enable the general permissions required for the user.
Step 5: Configure Reporting Controls
Configure Reporting Controls to decide whether the user can perform actions such as exporting or emailing reports.
Step 6: Configure Menu Rights
Click Menu Rights at the bottom-left of the window. Then select the menus and utilities the user can access, such as Quick Create, Sales, and other available menu options.
Step 7: Save the User Access Rights
Review the configured permissions and click Save. The user will now be able to access only the features and activities permitted through the assigned rights.
Other User Management Options
Manage Existing Users
Go to User > Manage User to view existing users and modify their access rights whenever required.
Change Password
Go to User > Change Password to update the password for the active user.
Switch User
Go to User > Switch User to switch to another user account without closing the company.
Log Out
Go to User > Log Out to exit the current user account.
